11th Annual Autism Conference & Expo

Georgia State University
Georgia State University Atlanta, GA 30303

The Autism Conference & Expo is an annual event that provides an opportunity for sharing knowledge and resources about supports for individuals with autism and their families in Georgia.

Cultural Perspectives Leading to Impactful Practices

The Autism Conference & Expo of Georgia is an annual event dedicated to sharing knowledge and resources to support individuals with autism and their families throughout the state. It reflects the collaboration of self-advocates, families, community partners, state agencies, and other key stakeholders, and plays a vital role in advancing the Autism Plan for Georgia.

This year’s theme, “Cultural Perspectives Leading to Impactful Practices,” explores how cultural influences—whether identity-based, linguistic, or professional—shape the systems and providers involved in autism services.

We welcome caregivers, individuals with autism, educators, clinicians, researchers, administrators, and interventionists to join us. In line with the conference’s theme, we are partnering with Dr. Annette Cash from Georgia State University’s Department of World Languages & Cultures to lead special sessions focused on the importance of cultural translation in creating effective autism and disability services.
